He estado en muchos clubs y discotecas, pero nunca me podré olvidar del particular sonido del Studio 54 de Barcelona.

La sonorización de esa sala era mágica. Si estabas en medio de la pista, tu tema favorito se convertía en puro éxtasis, pero el sonido te perseguía por todo el local; las escaleras, los lavabos, la segunda y la tercera planta. A mi me gustaba particularmente subir a la tercera y disfrutar del juego de la reverberación que allí se producia. Cuando ponían el "Give me Tonight" de Shannon o el "Al Naafiysh" de Hashim, salía corriendo hacia arriba porque era donde mas me gustaba escucharlo.

La eterna "Numbers" de Kraftwerk, que lo mismo vale para un roto que para un descosido, no ha sido mas que la excusa para intentar recrear ese sonido particular.

Como decía la promo del local: "Nada que ver con todo lo demás".

I have been to many clubs and discos, but I can never forget the particular sound of Studio 54 in Barcelona.

The sound of that room was magical. If you were in the middle of the dance floor, your favorite song became pure ecstasy, but the sound chased you around the room; the stairs, the toilets, the second and third floors. I particularly liked going up to the third and enjoying the game of reverberation that was produced there. Whenever they played Shannon's "Give Me Tonight" or Hashim's "Al Naafiysh", I ran upstairs because that's where I liked to listen to it the most.

The eternal "Numbers" by Kraftwerk, which serves a multitude of purposes, has been nothing more than the excuse to try to recreate that particular sound.

As the club promo said: "Nothing to do with everything else."
