Music For A Perfect Lockdown

Ya hoy nos parece una mala pesadilla, algo que ya hemos dejado atrás. Pero a pesar de todos los vídeos de gatitos, de las absurdas performances de balcón, de los cientos de recetas de pan casero y demás tonterías, yo todavía sigo recordando el estado de ánimo que me produjo la situación. Durante esos días la música me ayudó un poco y estuve recopilando estos temas para luego unirlos en esta mezcla. No esperéis grandes éxitos de la radio, la tele o la red. Es el trabajo de gente totalmente desconocida* que es emitido en una radio alemana de internet con el sello de Creative Commons que escucho habitualmente. Los seleccioné porque reflejaban perfectamente mis sentimientos en esos días. Así que es una sesión de 40 minutos de música con un marcado carácter pesimista y melancólico. Hoy quiero guardar esto como el recuerdo de lo que yo aun considero a día de hoy un secuestro de casi 2 años de la vida de todos en general. En español hay un dicho: “es peor el remedio que la enfermedad”. Pues eso. ¡Ni olvido, ni perdón!

Already today it seems like a bad nightmare, something that we have already left behind. But despite all the videos of kittens, the absurd balcony performances, the hundreds of recipes for homemade bread and other stupid things, I still remember the mood that the situation produced in me. During those days the music helped me a bit and I was compiling these songs and then putting them together in this mix. Do not expect big hits from the radio, TV or the network. It is the work of totally unknown people* that is broadcast on a German internet radio with the Creative Commons label that I listen to regularly. I selected them because they perfectly reflected my feelings in those days. So it is a 40-minute session of music with a marked pessimistic and melancholic character. Today I want to keep this as a memory of what I still consider today a kidnapping of almost 2 years of everyone's life in general. In Spanish there is a saying: “the remedy is worse than the disease”. Well that. Neither forget nor forgive!
